Based on the outskirts of Daventry and overlooked by Badby woods, Badby Cricket Club boasts one of the most picturesque grounds in Northamptonshire. The club was awarded the best ground award by the Northamptonshire cricket league in 2006 (Not a bad achievement when one considers that there are over 150 clubs in the league itself!).

Together with an excellent playing surface and a well developed playing structure ranging from under 11 to Northants senior league, Badby Cricket Club is the principal provider of club cricket in the Daventry area.

Badby Cricket Club was formed in 1855 and 2005 was our 150th anniversary as a club. We are a thriving club, based 2 miles south of Daventry, running 2 adult teams on a Saturday in the Northants league, a Sunday side playing friendlies, as well as under 11's, 13's who play in the South Northants League and the under 15s who will be playing in the south Northants league in league in 2008.

As a remote village club, sponsorship is extremely difficult to come by. However, many past and present players take an active part in the club. We are also a focus for the village and surrounding community, where we offer youngsters the opportunity of coaching throughout the winter, in local schools, as well as practice and match experience throughout the summer months.
