Tower Captain appointed by the Parochial Church Council of St Mary the Virgin, Badby: Geoff Pullin 25 The Glebe, Badby NN11 3AZ 01327 871806 gcsspullin@yahoo.com
We meet together to ring the church bells in the traditional English manner of full circle ringing to set methods of changes. On Sundays we muster at least six ringers from the village. Usually on second Sundays 9 am for 9.30 am, third Sundays in odd months 5.15 pm for 6 pm, and fourth Sundays 10.15 am for 11 am, but services subject to frequent change! Weddings and funerals as requested.
On practice nights we average between 12 and 18 ringers including regular visitors from surrounding villages, several of whom end up in the Windmill Inn afterwards. Any special ringing is usually advertised in advance in THE LINK and The Gusher.
Bellringing is suitable for men, women, and children from 12 year olds to 70 years young. Come and watch us on a Wednesday anytime between 6.45pm and 9pm and have a go! Enter by the south door in the tower, not through the church.
We expect all ringers to comply with the Diocesan Child Protection Policy adopted by Badby Parochial Church Council.
We support and are supported by the Daventry Branch of
THE PETERBOROUGH DIOCESAN GUILD OF CHURCH BELL RINGERS
